WP-Markdown not compatible with bbPress 2.4

    Hi There,

    This is a fantastic plugin/extension for bbpress. The other day my WordPress notified me that a new release of bbPress was made available so i downloaded, but it looks like markdown is not compatible.

    The new topic or reply forms seems to be messed up and the visual editor is gone for bbPress.

    Could you be able to check this?

    Hi Matt,

    Yup, I can confirm this issue for the 2.4 release of bbPress. I haven’t been able to identify the source of the bug, but the result is that the plug-in scripts are not loaded. A quick fix is to ensure they are – (see link below) – but I’d like to find out what change in bbPress is breaking things.

    Hi Stephen,

    Thanks for the prompt response, the fix worked wonders!

    I had some time to play around with the editor and found that the preview doesn’t display line breaks, is this intentional, could i display breaks?

    Yes that’s how Markdown works. If you want a line break you need to have two spaces at the end of the line. Alternatively leave a blank line for a new paragraph.

    can you say where i most exactly add register_scripts()?
