• OK, I know this makes no sense, and I’ve searched in the WP and TXP forums, but I recently upgraded my TXP install (in root directory) and now my WP blog (in subdirectory) doesn’t work.

When I try to load my WP blog, I get a TXP 404 error. That leads me to believe that the .htaccess file inside of my WP blog directory isn’t working anymore. Because I can get to my wp-admin directory (which actually exists and isn’t generated), just not any of the public blog (the generated content).

I really hope someone can help me figure this out. I’ve also cross posted this in the TXP forums and another forum where I can get tech help.

  • if WP is in the subdirectory, I’d be more inclined to look at TXP and/or it’s .htaccess file. Perhaps it’s trying to process the WP requests as it’s own.

I’ve realized something else. If I remove the .htaccess file from the root directory (the TXP one), when I try to go to my wp blog, I get a 500 server error, regardless of what is in the WP .htaccess file.

I’m at work, so I can’t check my logs, but I’m going to look and see what the 500 error is. Maybe that will point me in the right direction.

This leads me to believe it’s something with WP.

    Any clues anyone?
