WP not allowing html color codes in post editor

my post editing page is not allowing me to enter my own html color code for text

I’m just using wordpress.

I’m using just the WordPress dashboard > posts

Are you using the Visual or Text editor in WordPress?

I am having the exact same problem. Prior to the 3.9 update, I was able to use Visual editor and easily choose different fonts and Headings. Now that I have updated, I don’t have that formatting toolbar at the top when fixing text boxes, etc. I have noticed old post’s content is visually similar when looking at it from Visual and Text editor.

Please let me know if it’s preferred for me to make a new post.

I am using the visual editor when I am making posts. The drop down text color box used to have an option to enter your own color.
