• I followed all the usual steps to install WP but once I enter the domain name in the browser, it’s not starting the setup process. I’ve never had this problem before. I edited the config file (normally it just automatically starts the installation once I create the database) and that still don’t make it start. Have I missed something?

  • Ensure that the mod_rewrite module is enabled on your server, as it’s required for WordPress to handle URLs properly.

    • You may also want to check if there is an .htaccess file in the root directory and ensure it’s not blocking anything.

When I visit your site, I’m getting “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error.

The “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error usually means that your domain isn’t resolving to an IP address.

    1. Domain Registration: Ensure that your domain is registered and active. Check with your domain registrar to confirm that it hasn’t expired.
    2. DNS Settings: Check your DNS settings. Make sure that the A record points to the correct IP address of your server.

Thank you for your replies. It’s showing as active on my dashboard but I also suspected they didn’t register it properly. They have not responded to my questions.

I’ll go check the .htaccess file now and forward these responses to the host. Hopefully they can fix it soon
