I was just performing some manual plugin updating for those that don’t support the automatic update feature and in doing so, I saw that some of my other plugins required updates.

So, after I was done with the manuals, I went in to Dashboard-Updates and it says there are no updates. And when I go into Plugins, non show updates needed now! I checked versions on a few of them and there are in fact updates for about 10 of my plugins, but WordPress is not displaying the update notification!

Any ideas out there? Am I going to be forced to manually check and update each of my plugins now? This is annoying.

  • Just ball-parking here, but do you have any plugins that might be preventing WordPress from checking for updates? Core Control is one example I can think of that allows the user to manually prevent update checks, but I’m sure there are others that do the same same thing for different reasons.

Sorry for the delayed response, just realized I never followed up. It was in fact another plugin causing this problem. I can’t remember which one anymore however.
