• Server setup: IIS 7 – PHP 5
    Wordpress version 2.6.2

Installed wordpress and it has 2 quirks with the scripting. 1) Registering on the site does not send an email. 2) Often, doing updates to… anything. Posts, plugins, whatever – hitting the button to apply the change directs me to the login page. If I go back to the front and then back into the wp-admin, it has me as still being logged in.

2nd issue is easily worked around, so not so much of a big deal, but the 1st is not good.

Anyone have any insight as to why it wouldn’t be mailing out?

  • I think there are a number of things that can cause this. When I ran into this problem it was to do with the PHP configuration on my server, and the easiest fix was to use WP Mail SMTP (thank you Callum MacDonald).

    Hi,

I was also facing same problem.

I am sure nothing will work until you fix it in your C-panel setting. Its not WordPress problem but its your domain localhost setting problem. Dont blame WordPress.
