This is kind of an FYI – the website still appears to be working fine, but I received a notice saying the following with links to my website:

“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Smart Slider 3.”

    Website Details

    WordPress version 6.1.1
    Active theme: Divi (version 4.19.2)
Current plugin: Smart Slider 3 (version 3.5.1.12) PHP version 7.4.33

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 194 of the file /home/redrooaustralia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/smart-slider-3/Nextend/Autoloader.php. Error message: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/redrooaustralia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/smart-slider-3/Nextend/SmartSlider3/Application/Admin/TraitAdminUrl.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/share/pear’)

If there is anything of concern that you think I need to action so the plugin continues to work seamlessly please notify me.

    Cheers,

    Hi @nataliefaith02

According to your error message, the problem is that we are not able to open the mentioned file:

    • /home/redrooaustralia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/smart-slider-3/Nextend/SmartSlider3/Application/Admin/TraitAdminUrl.php

for some reason. Maybe something went wrong during the installation and the file is missing.

So first of all I would suggest you to check if the file exists at that path. If it doesn’t then you should delete your current Smart Slider 3 installation ( don’t worry your sliders won’t be deleted ) and then you should install it again an see if that fixes the problem. If the file still won’t show up there, then maybe your server has some sort of limitation that prevents us from copying our file there. To avoid such limitation, you should download our latest .zip installer from our plugins page:

unzip it then install it over FTP like we mention here:

and that will most likely fix the problem.

In that case if the file is there, and if you open it it contains the code, then I find it possible that the compiling error occurs because of a third party, e.g. because of an earlier compiled codes by OP Cache, so you should try purging it if you have any ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/flush-opcache/ e.g. this plugin adds a button to the admin bar to do that ).

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.
