WP on mobil devices

I want to install WP on my server, and build it on a PC. I need the finished site to function in ipads and iphones.
Do I need to do anything other than do a typical installation to have it functional on these mobile devices?
If some plugins/themes work on mobile, will all plugins/themes work also?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I am rather new to dealing with mobile devices.
