• I had WP installed by my hosting company on a Windows server, but the users had to go trough a double login (first the Windows security login and then WP autenthication). I complained, and now there is only the WP login, but all uploads or template modifications are impossible. They say this is “due to the way WordPress was designed”. Do I have to accept this? Is there anything I can tell them to enjoy a full-featured WP on Windows too?

  • About the only short-coming I’ve found with WP on windows was having to add index.php into the beginning of the pretty Permalinks and some schizzy issues related to GD thumbnailing.

Extra logins? no. File permission issues? nope.

directory security should be checked for your domain name under IIS.

Also double check to see if any images being used within teh blog are being pulled from a secure potion of the server.
