Firstly, thanks to the WP-Optimize developers. It is a great plugin that actually speeds up a page. However, there is one thing annoying with this it clears all the cache as soon as a new post is published. I don’t want it to clear all posts, instead, it should clear the cache of the home page or the cache of its category pages at the most. I could not find such a setting.
Please suggest. I have tried different values for cache life span and currently set it to 0, but it’s not helping. I’ve observed this same issue with the latest version as well while it mentioned fixing similar cache-related issues.

To add one more path which is even “Updating any existing post or posts makes the entire cache cleared”. All of this actually should be configurable via plugin settings or by adding some filters.

    Hello,

When you publish new content or update/edit existing content, the cache for that post/page should be cleared, as well as associated content (category archives, blog archives) but not the full cache.

But this is happening in my case. Why don’t we have this finer control on cache deletion that would have taken care of all such issues.

I will talk to our developer and see if we could consider this in a future release

    Thanks. We can conclude this.

@harshs in relation to your issue where the cache is cleared completely this behaviour may be caused if you are using menu and sidebar widgets. For example when a new post is added the latest post widget is updated and to reflect those changes all posts will be purged from the cache.

Nice catch. It could be true. But let me share my cache liefspan setting where I set the cache time to 0 and in the time drop-down, the Month option was selected. In this case, the cache was not retaining itself. However, now, I changed the time unit from Month to day value. And after that, I can confirm that the cache started working properly.

The sidebar widget to show the latest posts remained there in both cases.

    Thanks.
