WP-OPTIMIZE KILLED ALL MY WEBSITES

Same happening to my all websites i installed this plugin

Same thing here. WP Optimize plugin was causing CPU overload on our hosting and 503 Service Unavailable message on our website since this morning. I renamed wp-content/plugins folder which disables all WordPress plugins and website came back so I knew it will be one of the plugins. Then I renamed it back and started renaming individual plugin folders. When I renamed wp-optimize folder, website came back so this is definitely the culprit.

Thats how I had to do it too. Tracked it down to wp-optimize. Impossible to contact support for this plugin without spending money. Too bad cause before they broke it it was a good plugin.

Plugin took out one client’s site, not going to wait to watch the rest die.

Thank you reporting this – apologies for the inconvenience, we are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix for it.

As a temporary solution please could you try the following steps:

1. In your wp-config.php add the line:define('WPO_USE_WEBP_CONVERSION', false );
   
2. Delete the .htaccess file from the wp-content/uploads/ directory

Furthermore, we would be very grateful if you could share the following information:

• Name of your hosting company
• PHP error logs shared via pastebin.com – your host should be able to help you locate these if you are unsure
• Your server information which can be located here
• Resource usage statistics from cPanel if you have them as per this screenshot

We also have another thread that you can check for updates. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks but I am really busy this month. I had to remove the plugin from 8 different websites and wont put it back on till it is fixed. I am using godaddy hosting with the latest version of wordpress. I want to use it. It is a great little plugin but if you heard the cussing out I got from my customers you would see why I had to remove it until it is fixed. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. I APPRECIATE IT

Same thing here; fortunately had plugin in just one site, Godaddy hosted.

Im wondering now if it is a GODADDY problem. I have one site hosted at godaddy and wp-optimize is working fine. All the other sites are at godaddy but on a different server and they all have the error

After deleting the wp-optimize folder in ‘plugin’ folder of WordPress, are there any other files that we should delete manually to get rid of all the remnants of this plugin?

What I DID was to rename the wp-optimize folder via ftp to wp-optimizeold. Then I went in to that websites plugins and deleted the plugin. That should get everything

I deleted that folder so it is not showing in the list of plugins in WP Admin. That’s why I am wondering where else there might be residual files.

Just replying to confirm GoDaddy + WP-Optimize is killing sites. 503 error, across roughly 10-15 different websites. Disabling Wp-Optimize through FTP corrects the issue.

Thats why I am thinking it is a server problem at godaddy

You mentioned that an older version worked for you. Could you please specify which version it was? Also, I’m interested about your site’s resource usage statistics from cPanel if you have them as per this screenshot

Update: Up to now, we’ve received reports exclusively from NameCheap and Godaddy users. In order to validate these reports, we conducted testing with WP-Optimize on both NameCheap and Godaddy hosting platforms, and it performed without any issues. This led us to conclude that only a specific subset of users may be experiencing difficulties. We have also reached out to their respective support teams, but unfortunately, their assistance has not been helpful. More details in this thread
