When I try to delete this plugin it says “deleting” but an error message appears at the top of the plugins page saying “Deletion failed: Internal Server Error”

I renamed the folder in the wp-content/plugins folder but that did nothing. I removes the lines from the .htaccess file but that did nothing either.

How can I get rid of this?

    Hi @esp2013,

Sorry to hear that you found issues when deleting this plugin.

This plugin doesn’t contain any code that prevents it from being deleted.. There might be some other reasons such as file permissions, cache or any other kind of theme/plugin conflict that might stop it from being deleted.

    – Did you try to delete the plugin by using FTP method? You should be able to remove it if you login via FTP, go to wp-content/plugins/ and delete the ‘wp-performance-score-booster’ folder.
    – You can also ask your hosting provider if there are any file permissions issues?

    I hope this helps.

In my post I did say that I renamed the folder (using ftp) so it shouldn’t make any difference if I delete or rename it.
It seems that quite a few people have problems deleting this plugin so there must be some reason that it happens.

Renaming the folder (through ftp) actually doesn’t delete the plugin. It just deactivate the plugin.

That said, just delete the plugin (wp-performance-score-booster) folder (do not rename) using FTP method.
