    Hi,
I’m new at this and I I’ve just installed the WP Photo Album + plugin – very flexible.

I wanted to ask though if there is a way to disable the link on the thumbnails for some albums and enable it (proceed into the slideshow) for another.

I find that I can set it to “no link at all” inside the album settings itself but it doesn’t work if unless the global settings (Table VI.2) is also set to “no link at all” – which does it for ALL the albums.

Thanks in advance. I’m trying to create a thumbnail gallery and a slideshow for my site by the way, that’s why.

The linktype for ordinary thumbnails is systemwide as you found out.

You can have sets of thumbnails in various types of widget, in which type you can (systemwide) define other link types.

“no link at all” inside the album settings itself applies to the album cover title link.

You can have thumbnail galleries and slideshows mixed in a site, even in a single post or page. You can start the display with a slideshow directly.

See the scripting or (newer) shortcode reference on https://wppa.opajaap.nl as well as the many examples on that doc site.
