WP-Piwik 1.0.17 was not able to connect to Piwik using your configuration.

I did, and now the error page I see when trying to load Piwik reads, ” Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement or after any declare call in the script in /home2/trikala/public_html/piwik/core/Translation/Translator.php on line 27″ (when before just a blank page showed up, so I guess this is a step up).
