    hello,

I just saw this error in my log, I guess that it’s from your plugin ?

I never had anybody complain, so is it possible to get this error when somebody does not reply to CAPTCHA ?

Or do you think that it can be a bug ?

Thank you so much again for the great plugin !

    Hi budrwo, glad to help:

    1) “I just saw this error in my log, I guess that it’s from your plugin ?”

Yes, that error happens when the response is missing from the reCaptcha field.

    2) “I never had anybody complain, so is it possible to get this error when somebody does not reply to CAPTCHA ?”

In order to help troubleshoot reCaptcha issues, each error is recorded in the site’s error log. To investigate, try using your form a few times, should reveal any issues.

    3) “Or do you think that it can be a bug ?”

It is intentional as explained, not a bug. You can check out the code behind the error reports, located in /ReCaptcha/connect-new.php (or connect-old, if using the old version of reCaptcha).

Let me know if I can provide any further infos, glad to help.

Thank you so much ! you are the greatest !

I will investigate, but can you tell how do I know if I am using a new or old recaptcha ? and what is the difference ?

    Thanks again.

By default the plugin uses the new (v2) reCaptcha. Unless you made changes via custom form, you are using the new reCaptcha.

Thank you, I am now checking google recaptcha website and I see that we should choose for each domain INVISIBLE or CHECKBOX, is it important ?

All my domains and set to invisible and it seems that there is no option to change.

Your recaptcha function should work without problem if my domains are set on Recaptcha V2 invisible in Google recaptcha website ?

Thank you again for all your replies.

No, the plugin uses v2. v3 is new and has not yet been added to USP.

yes, invisible and checkbox options are REcaptcha V2.

Recaptcha V3 does not give any choice.

We have to choose invisible or checkbox when selecting recaptcha V2, but maybe the api key is similar and your plugin recaptcha function works whatever we select ?

(You can see the form to select CHECKBOX or INVISIBLE at the bottom of the page)

    Cheers.

Not sure, Google constantly is changing their captcha app. All I know is that currently USP uses reCaptcha v2. Maybe give it a try and let me know what you find. Either way, as said I will look at this later when I go about updating the plugin. Right now gotta get back to work so I can pay da billz.
