WP Popular Posts not working for 2nd time

I really like this plugin. It stopped working some months ago and the only thing I could figure out was to uninstall it, then reinstall it much later and it worked again, starting the counts from the beginning. It’s been working now for a few weeks but then just stopped again. I can figure some things out but diagnosing this is beyond me. Would love any help.
