• When I create a quote there are some fields missing from the comment section. The fields name, email and website URL do not appear.

The paragraph for text appears and users can still use it to send questions about the quotes but as I said not all the fields are there.

If I disable compatibility mode in the wp-invoice settings all the fields appear, sadly the quote does not appear at all when I do that, so I cant do that.

Everything is checked in the WordPress discussion settings and the theme supports comments on the post and page

I am using the custom template in the wpi folder and if I remove the closed comments filter the fields appear but only on the invoice page NOT on the quote, which is obviously where it is needed most.

I am bypassing some normal diagnostics of disabling plugins, which is hopefully forgivable as this is a live site, and as it appears when I disable the filter, I feel is contained within the plugin itself.

test quote has been created as above if anyone has the time to look and suggest anything. guttertidy.co.uk/testquote

    thanks in advance

    Hello.

By design, comment form does not have any additional fields and can’t be customized. If you customized something directly we are not able to support that.

why do you always do this maria, not answer the question and provide me with condescending answers and try an make me feel stupid. I am not for one second asking for any help from you about customisations. I am just trying to find out why the F*** the fields on the quote form, which are based on WordPress comment form are not there, is it something I have done and if so how I get them back.

    you say,
“By design, comment form does not have any additional fields and can’t be customized.”

I think that answers the question that you have taken those fields out. Next question, why? and is there any way to have them included in future releases.

Also, completely unrelated to this but to a feedback feature topic I raised somewhere else.

Can you add the functionality for clients to modify the quotes by deleting sections? I raised this and one of the team got back to me saying it could be added as a custom coding job. I don’t want custom coding, the cost is prohibitive and you always have to keep paying in the long run. just add it to the core of your plugin and sell more because of the improved functionality. I might finally give you 5 stars if this feature gets.

Just to clarify the feature request. I use quotes like this.

    Dear sir/madam
i have been round and had a look. the price for the various jobs are

    A) clean this £50
    B)clean that £60
    C) clean that £40

The client can obviously accept quote but he might only want (A) & (C). If they could just delete sections of the quote and it recalculates it would be great.

I am a sensitive soul and your answers always upset me. so you don’t have to respond to any of this if the work or the features can’t be added. IF, you have to respond as a way of resolving the topic put something nice and don’t make me feel stupid.

All our products are free now, we earn for living doing custom services.

I understood your requests, but there are no plans for such enhancements right now. The custom job also may be done so changes will be included to the core, so you will have the ability to update the plugin in future.

Regarding quotes, I’m telling what can from documentation side and some simple tips from technical, if you need developers consulting, that is also paid service.

Probably the issue with your theme where comments designed in such way and quotes using default comments – https://www.usabilitydynamics.com/product/wp-invoice/docs/quotes-response-form-do-not-appear-in-wp-invoice-plugin
