  • I had the same problem, so as a last measure i deactivated it and installed Really Simple captcha . But that didn’t work in combination with User Access Manager, so I deactivated and unistalled that…
Then I reactivated WP-reCaptcha and presto, it works again!

I’ve tried it all to get recaptcha going again:
    – deactivating and activating again
    – removing and installing again
    – I’ve tried Better WP-Recaptcha, with the corresponding Contact Form 7 BWP plugin

All I see is the shortcode.

Luckily, Really Simple Captcha works for me, but I strongly prefer to use recaptcha.

I spoke too soon :-(. After updating CF7 Dynamic Text Exctension and reverting “fijnmedia’s fix”(see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/update-to-cf7-36-seems-to-have-broken-the-dynamic-text-extension?replies=10), I am no also left with a non-working CF7 reCaptcha extension. It only shows the shortcode in the form…
Since I also use User Access Manager and because of the ,htaccess settings it makes, Really Simple Captcha won’t work either. How can I protect my contact forms from spammers now?
