Kate, I sent you an email regarding the problem. It didn’t work?

I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, Markku. I’ll give it a shot in a few.

It works, it works!!! I love this hack.

wp-recent-links–1.11 just made it out the door.
Reformatted docs and some code cleanup, particularly relevant to Kate’s problem.
    Again, thanks everyone.

I just changed to using this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/3/4801 instead of the link manager (which is too bad, as an archives page would’ve been nice). Do you think there’s a chance you might create a hybrid between the two so that we can get comments on links? (My most requested feature of WordPress, unfortunately also the one feature which seems to be adamantly _non_-implemented ??

the archives page when using the above method would be your category archive. example:
    https://charles.gagalac.us/links/
it was made using a mod_rewrite rule that points to a separate template but references the category archive query.

@michael: I’ve been thinking about adding comments, but I don’t really see visitors posting comments on people’s linkblogs, except for kottke.org…
    But I might. ??

wp-recent-links 1.2 is now out, with an rss2 feed for syndicating your links.

markku, this seems to be what I was looking for, but from the info on your site it seems the 1.2 version still uses the myhacks file.
have you considered making it a plugin instead?

Hi, I was wondering if recent-links support categories? I’d really like to separate my links into different categories, perhaps even subcategories (for archiving purposes). If not, will future versions support this?
    -Joyce.

    I too am getting the

Fatal error: Cannot break/continue 1 level in /home/chris/public_html/chris/wp/wp-admin/recent-links.php on line 478

problem on link submission. Can somebody please post how you fix that problem?
Additionally when I go to /wp-login.php I get an error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/chris/public_html/chris/wp/my-hacks.php:3) in /home/chris/public_html/chris/wp/wp-login.php on line 254

. Luckily I’m still logged in, and I’m afraid if I log out I may never be able to get back in without removing the hack.

Nevermind, I solved both these errors. When I reopened my-hacks.php file I noticed I put a line break in between two hacks. For those familiar with php you can see where the obvious problem is (output being sent before headers). DOH! Carry on.
BTW, Great Hack!!! Just what I needed to push me over from MovableType.

I just installed this on 1.2epsilon, and it works fine ??
