Hi – I’ve inserted a shortcode [wprevpro_usetemplate tid=”4″] into a “Test” custom tab. The content is shown in the tab, but it is not showing as it should as it appears the js is not running correctly.

I contacted the WP Review PRO / WP Review Slider developer and they suggested it could be my js minify settings. I have made multiple config changes and I do not believe it is this with regards to WP Review Slider plugin specifically.

As a guess I think it may be a js blocking issue with your plugin, and/or a conflict with nesting shortcodes within a custom tab.

I would like to find a workable solution as getting these two plugins to work in harmony would really improve this websites design.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Jason

  • Hi @thebrownagency,

Shortcodes do work in the tab content, but if they output broken html it will break the tabs. For example, if a closing tag is missing.

The page you linked to looks like it’s working. Did you get it figured out?

Hi Jon – No, unfortunately it is not working as desired. The content is rendering, but it is supposed to be shown as a slider of singular reviews that auto-scroll with arrows that can be pressed to cycle through. It is working on other pages on the site that are not within a custom product tab. Please take another look to see if you can figure it out.

    Hi @thebrownagency,

Okay, I understand. Our plugin doesn’t add or remove any js, it just registers tabs with WooCommerce. We run the WordPress content filter on the tab content, which allows shortcodes to work. I do see you are using Elementor, could you try enabling Page Builder Compatibility in the settings? You can find that referenced here – https://yikesplugins.com/knowledge-base/page-builder-compatibility/

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon
