When I activate Hide my WordPress, the website doesn’t load. When I check from developer console, I see it can’t find CloudFront links. I purged all cache. I am using Cloudfront with their CDN service and I am not sure if this combination is causing some sort of an issue. Can you please help?

    Best Regards

    Hi @anymaa,

    Thanks for the feedback.

A solution could be, if you use Cloudfront with CDN domain, to add the CDN domain in
Hide My WP > Mapping > CDN URLs

    Hide My WP Tutorial: https://hidemywpghost.com/kb/url-mapping-text-mapping/#cdn_urls

This way Hide My Wp will know to rename the paths in the CDN URL too.

    Hi @johndarrel,

Thanks for your quick reply. My Domain Name is default domain served by Cloudfront. It says d770yb0***pdg.cloudfront.net (Ignore the stars.)

And, even if it’s default I might need to use ‘CDN URLs’, I don’t know. But do I need paid version for it? :/

For the CDN URLs option is required the premium version but we usually make Hide My WP identify the CDNs from other plugins so that you don’t need to use that option all the time.

Now, what you see in Settings > General > Site URL is the same domain as the domain you find in the source code of your website? Just to make sure is a CDN with a different domain URL.

If it’s the same domain URL, then you don’t need the CDN option. If it’s a custom CDN domain, is there a plugin or an option on your admin where you can see the CDN domain?

To be able to get the custom CDN domain from a plugin or theme, please send it to us and we will include a compatibility in Hide My WP to get the CDN dynamically.

    John
