• Able to install this plugin in lower environments and worked fine. but when we deployed it on production server and started activating it, started throwing error of 504 gateway exceptions and entire WordPress dashboard become unresponsive.
Is there any default firewall rules will this plugins comes with? or what kind of measures we have to take before deploying this plugin to production servers.

  • Hey @arunasrim As you may know a 504 Gateway timeout indicates that the web server took longer to respond and hence “timing out”. The WP hardening plugin does not include a firewall so it does not block any requests. I would recommend looking at the PHP/Server error logs to see why the issue happened. If you identify any logs mentioning the plugin, can you please email them to [email protected] so that we could provide more contextual support?

    Thanks Anand for the response.
Even i thought the same, issue could be at server it self. but as soon as we removed this plugin from prod environment application started working normally.
access logs we can see 504 gateway error, when tried to access any page on the application ( especially from dashboard )
