WP-Settings error on fresh WP 2.1 install

  • I’m totally stumped on this one, I’ve tried to install WP 2.1 as a fresh install for testing purposes before I migrate my sites to it, and I keep getting this error message from the top:

    Warning: main(/home/www/mysite.com/wp-includes/formatting.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/mysite.com/wp-settings.php on line 150

    Warning: main(/home/www/mysite.com/wp-includes/formatting.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/mysite.com/wp-settings.php on line 150

    Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘/home/www/mysite.com/wp-includes/formatting.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/www/mysite.com/wp-settings.php on line 150

    I’ve literally installed WP 100’s of times over the years, and I’ve never seen anything like this. Server is running MySQL 4.1 so this shouldn’t be it. Any ideas?
