bump!

Is this possibly WP E-commerce at all?

p/s: I haven’t tried any ecommerce plugin, but I’ve just found one called Yak for WordPress which is a simple shopping cart plugin.

but doed anyone know if this is a known bug? i have tried to write to the develoepr but didn’t get any response…

From what I’ve read on the forums, support for WP E-Commerce isn’t that great…

Thanks, staceppa ?? I will look forward to finding out if it works out. As far as I know, the plugin is being actively developed, so I imagine it should be quite easy to get in touch with the developer as well.

i don’t know for what reason but now the wp-shopping-cart is working.
i swear i have not touched anything at all, i did not install or remove any plugins… for some magic now i don’t have any problems with wp-shopping-cart
although i have to say that support for this plugin does not exist at all!

Glad it worked out for you, staceppa. Aside from blank lines (right at the top of the file) I couldn’t think of anything else really.

There is no reason not to use WP e-Commerce. It is by far the most feature rich and matured wordpress e-commerce plugin.

Anyway I was reading a support noitce on another site today for a different plugin.. they said before you post a bug try it with the default theme first and check to see if the problem still exists.

Also check the WP e-Commerce forums, they are packed full of information and there are good people there supporting the community. The support people care about our users.

staceppa – the first guy to look out for with problems with wpecommerce is Shayne on the forum … top guy and will try his hardest to iron out any probs and is brilliant at custom jobs too !!!.
Any serious bugs need to be reported in the right place on the forum and they will most probably fix this for the next ver or if too serious email them direct.

I’m not a wp ecom pro just someone who has had a lot of experience with the program . The program does sometimes hit bad patches but the ease of use , editing, overall features and cost of the program do out way for most of the time the problems that i have experienced.

It is essentially a feature rich e-commerce program that bolts onto wordpress and yes it can sometimes use parts of wordpress other plugins use.
My honest advice and this is something I’m going to do in future is treat this program like a stand alone program with its own wp install.
Install it on a fresh wp install use the existing theme and link it in to the blog. The program has its own widgets and i’m sure with a little tweaking these could be worked into the original WP install.

Thanks for the info, Graham ?? It’s really good to get a balanced view from someone who has worked a lot with a particular plugin, especially something that seems so powerful!

I would check out the forums, but they seem to be offline. Having some odd problems with my items not appearing on the ‘Product Page.’

I was told by Dan earlier that the site had just switched servers so expect inconsistency for a couple days.
