• When installing wordpress in my localhost, I mistakenly put my html website url in during the install. Now when I do a search for my business website so that my students can use it, the WP site comes up instead.

The reason for installing WP is to use the Flybox plugin on the html site but it only shows in the WP site.

How do I change this without doing any damage ?

  • Where did you install WordPress on your domain?

On checking the file manager in Cpanel, it seems I have installed it in the public_html section as that is where most of the WP folders are. e.g. WP-admin, content, includes etc.

Ack ?? In that case, it looks like you are going to have to physically move WordPress into a sub-folder on your site. Have a look at Moving_WordPress.

Don’t know if this is any help but when I am in WP dashboard, at the top next to the W it displays optimusdriver.com which is the url for my html site.
