The POT file isn’t 100% valid (it says it’s french), but the main problem is the file wp_sitemap_page.mo which is redundant and should be deleted.

Pressing the editor sync button when your empty Danish file is added might force it to work. Worked for me just now anyway.

Thanks for your feedback Tim ??

I deleted the .mo file, and am now able to create a translation. However, it doesn’t show up work in the front end. Clicking the “file systems permission settings checkmark” I get this log:

File system permissions for WP Sitemap Page
    languages/plugins
    OK
    plugins/wp-sitemap-page
    OK
    plugins/wp-sitemap-page/languages
    OK
    plugins/wp-sitemap-page/languages/wp-sitemap-page-da_DK.mo
    OK
    plugins/wp-sitemap-page/languages/wp-sitemap-page-da_DK.po
    OK
    plugins/wp-sitemap-page/languages/wp_sitemap_page.pot
    OK
Other potential issues with WP Sitemap Page
Plugin has no POT file. Create one at "/languages/wp-sitemap-page.pot" if you need one.

Is there some inconsistency with dashes and underscores?

Possibly as you say. The plugin declares its text domain is wp-sitemap-page but then uses wp_sitemap_page. This should be reported to the author as a bug.

It also looks like Loco is confused about the POT file from what you’ve posted above. Perhaps because it claims itself to be French, rather than a template.
