I updated the plugin at 20:30 PT last night and it stopped working. Last record I have is from 20:27.

Have you deactivated/activated the plugin as per installation instructions? Also, what version were you using before the upgrade?

    Yes, I deactivated/activated. I upgraded from 2.4.1

The main thing that changed in 2.4.2, aside from some small bug fixes, is the drag&drop feature added to all the panels. Nothing was update in the tracking engine, so this is weird.

Could you give me admin access to your site so that I can take a look at the issue?

Send me the info using this contact form

I’m not comfortable doing that. Is there any way that I can backup the current numbers so that I can remove the plugin and start from scratch? Or what if I rolled back to the previous version and updated again? This update has caused an issue with one other plugin as well.

I understand. You can definitely roll back to 2.4.1: just download it from here, and replace all the files on your webserver (using FTP).

But before you do that, try the following actions:

    • make sure that the subfolder wp-slimstat/cache is writable and that a file cache.php is present
    • check that all 6 WP SlimStat tables are still present in the database
    • post or send me the url of your website so that I can perform some basic troubleshooting

    Thanks

    My site’s url is https://juliasherred.com

I’ll take a boo at that other stuff.

    Thanks ??

Hm, not sure what is happening but I get a server error 500 when trying to access your site ??

Yeah, no. The only things in the cache folder are:

    browsecap.ini
    index.php

    (@geekyjules)

Really? That is bizarre! I’ll let my host know.

That’s the problem, then. You are missing a core file, that my plugin generates the first time it logs a new access. You will need to make the cache folder writable in order for the system to create that file.

    Camu.

Oops, your last comment broke the layout here ??

    Thread Starter GeekyJules

    (@geekyjules)

The cache folder is writable but that file is missing.

I’ll download the files and upload via FTP

    (@geekyjules)

I noticed that too. Not my day LOL

    (@coolmann)

LOL ?? Okay, let me know if you need help downloading the file.

I think I’ve fixed the 500 issue. If you wouldn’t mind visiting again so that I can see if it is tracking.
