WP SMTP … Resource Intensive – Slows site

  • Added this plugin and suddenly the entire WP site slowed to a crawl. Deactivated the plugin and back to normal page loading.

    HostMySite support said they had heard of this issue. Since my site uses Contact7 forms throughout (8 pages), suggests that the plugin re-verifies pages before loading.

    Is there a solution to this?
