WP Smush It – Not working?

I have installed the WP Smush it plugin and it optimized one or two pics but i keep getting the error “Automatic smushing has been disabled temporarily due to an error. Operation timed out after 20000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received”

I get this error when using the bulk smush it, i also get the error “Smush.it error: Image size exceed 1MB limit while processing https://www.mobileaudioheadquarters.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/trunk-1.jpg (/home2/mobilea8/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/trunk-1.jpg)” if I try to smush this pic. the file is not more than 1mb in size.

It will smush a pic or two if I use the bulk smush tool then it gives me that error. then I try again and it will do a few more pics and i get the error again. I cant seem to be able to do them separately either. It does not smush them upon upload either.

I have looked into other image optimizers but i only found two others. I believe it was ewww optimize and wp optimize or something like that but upon installing both, they said it was missing some needed programs to use that program. jpegtran or some nonsense with no information on how to get those working on wordpress. so….any ideas?
