New Free API

Hey there,
We’re pleased to announce that we’re now running our own free version. You can continue to use our plugin, the difference is that the plugin now uses our own API rather than Yahoo’s.
Some of you were worried about what would happen, and if we would be able to provide some kind of free replacement service after Yahoo dropped the Smush service without notice. Thanks to those of you who were both understanding and patient whilst we researched and developed.
We’ve put a lot of work and investment into developing a free service. It wasn’t easy to turn it around in such a short space of time either, we had people working around the clock configuring servers, developing, testing, etc.
