WP standard themes

  • Hi, I just wonder about the annual themes WP launch. How are they followed up? I thought that if I used a theme made by WP I was sure I had a theme I could relay on and get support for. I decided to use Twenty Fourteen, and it turns out now that the support for the theme is totally abandoned now. Is this how it is meant to be?

  • What do you mean, “get support for”? Support for WordPress, being free and open-source software, is offered on a volunteer basis on these forums, and that includes the bundled themes.

    The support forum for theme Twenty fourteen seems abandoned. People are asking for help for a long time, but none of the authors bother to answere.

    Yeah, that’s not how open source works. People will support a theme if they know the answer to the question & if they have free time to help.
