• heard other people complain about it on Twitter as well. wp stats makes you login again and then redirects to wordpress.com instead of showing the stats in wp-admin

twitter-urls don’t work on this forum (another bug)

It wont’ even let me login to the wordpress.com dashboard! Anyone heard anything yet?

Add me to the list of people with a problem using WP-stats…

I am having this problem. I have cannot access my wordpress stats today. I have tried logging in and out of my main wordpress self-hosted website and my WordPress site with the linked API key. No luck at all.

Yeah guys, sorry about that, my site’s been getting a ton of traffic over the last few days, it must’ve crashed the database for everyone. I KEED, I KEED!

Ditto. It attempts to log me in to WordPress.com and fails, so instead of stats I have a wordpress log in page. It took me a couple minutes to figure out I was actually still logged into the dashboard of my own site.

Same here..I am also unable to check stats..it repeatedly asks for my password but still fails

    Same here..

    Same for me as well

Same here… though slightly different, as mine redirects back to an old stand alone blog for authentication in the stats windows. That blog was turned off months ago and has not been active in that time frame. Did a little reading and looking around over on WordPress.Com and it would appear a LOT of people are having the problem. Supposedly being worked on.

A bit more research says that stats over on the WP.com go a sleek and sexy new look last Thursday. Though, personally from what I have seen and read I don’t think it is sleek, nor all that sexy. Regardless, I bet this change is what has caused this issue.

Glad it’s not just me. Driving me nuts.

If you can’t even log in to your main admin page, go to /wordpress/wp-admin/plugins.php and disable the wordpress.com stats plugin. Then you will able to access your admin page.

Thanks to PressHarbor for the tip.

    +1.

The WP-Stats page on our .org install now asks for a wp.com login, but logging in with the wp.com account that is connected to the WP-Stats API for that .org install just redirects to the wp.com dashboard.

This means we can still see our site stats directly from the wp.com dashboard, but not directly form our .org install.

Is this similar behavior to what others are experiencing?
