Unsure if this is a Yoast thing or a WPSL thing, so we’ll first try here.

When we create a WP Store locator Store (cpt ‘wpsl_stores’), Yoast keeps complaining about “The text contains 0 words”. This isn’t true, our stores have a nice description and store locator uses the normal WordPress editor body-content field for storing the contents. All other WPSL fields are look readable by Yoast and the content analysis is working fine for all other post types like blogs and pages. Installed and tried the ACF Content analysis but still 0 words in the content. Do we need to change something in the settings of Yoast or does the Developer of WPSL need to change something in his plugin?

  • I understand that our content analysis cannot detect the content you have added via the WP Store locator Store. Yoast SEO analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, the main content box (WordPress editor).

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the author or developer to request an integration feature for better SEO compatibility. Our development team provides information about creating a custom integration?here.

On the other hand, it is possible to scan custom fields with Yoast SEO. Note that you can do that only with the?Yoast SEO Premium?plugin and it only works on posts, products, custom post types, pages etc. It is?not?available on media attachment pages, taxonomies, archives, 404 pages, search pages, or author pages.

To be able to add the custom fields to Yoast SEO, you need to know their names. If you are not sure what the names of the custom fields are, follow the steps in this post – Find the correct custom field name.

Ok, thnx. We’ll contact the developer of WPSL to see if he needs to add something in his plugin. As far as we can see, he is using the main content box (WordPress editor) for store description, maybe something else is off then.
