• I’m hosted by 1&1 and have installed WP SuperCache.

The pages are being cached OK by “cache” and “supercache”. The “cached” pages are delivered but the “supercached” pages are not.

The problem appears to be that the variable %{DOCUMENT_ROOT} with htaccess delivers “usr/htdocs” instead of the real document root so the test of file exists naturally fails. If I hard code the real document root “/kunden/homepages/xx/yyyyyyyyy/htdocs/” it then works.

Can anyone confirm that this is the problem and can anyone offer a more permanent/elegant solution please.

  • I think you’ll have to hardcode the the document root. If you run phpinfo() does the real path appear anywhere?

    Hi donncha

The document root is correct in phpinfo() – just “appears” that 1&1 doesn’t carry the proper value in %{DOCUMENT_ROOT} in htaccess. Is it possible to construct the proper value from any other other variables available in htaccess?

I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is hardcoding the path.
