WP Super Cache 1.4.8 and Salient Visual Composer 4.11.12

    I’m running WP Super Cache 1.4.8 and Salient Visual Composer 4.11.12.
    When WP Super Cache plugin is active then Visual Composer doesn’t work and I get this error https://prntscr.com/b3nrxw
    I’m at a loss to understand what’s happening. I know that when WPSC is enabled the posts.php file that is executed ( I presume dynamically generated ) is about 2K lines long but when it is disabled it’s about 5K lines long so I presume that something is preventing VC from loading all it’s code but I’m a bit stuck on how to troubleshoot. I’ve tried tinkering with settings but to no avail. The critical thing is that the WPSC plugin is activated even if not enabled.
    Would appreciate a pointer on how to trying to debug this.
