WP Super Cache and Categories Widget

When I use the category widget with Super Cache enabled, I always get a list of all posts. I know it must have something to do with the fact that the category widget does not use permalinks (ie, it uses something like https://apscms.net/enews/?cat=41 instead of https://apscms.net/enews/category/alumni) but it would be great if a basic, built-in widget like the category widget could work with supercache.
