• Hi,

I am using WP Super Cache with Cloudflare. When Cloudflare is enabled I get Cache Tester errors (error:14077438:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error). The fetch to prime cache is OK but there are errors with the time stamp when fetching for the first and second copy. If I disable Cloudflare, all tests seem to be OK. How can I fix this?

Using the http headers it appears that with Cloudflare on, some requests are powered by w3 TC. However, I cleaned the cache in W3, deleted the plugin and purged Cloudflare cache 4 days ago.

On the other hand, the compress page option in WP Super Cache is enabled but according to webpagetest.org there is no image compression. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Compression in WPSC doesn’t impact images. The compression feature means that the plugin will compress the cached version of the page and send it along. Images are still only as compressed as they are on your server.

Regarding CloudFlare, I’m not really sure. In Jetpack support, we’ve seen similar errors coming from CloudFlare sites, but haven’t been able to narrow down exactly the cause enough to interface with CloudFlare, a particular hosting company, etc.

    Cheers!

    Hi Brandon,

Ok, got it. Thanks a lot for your reply!

For what it is worth, I was able to duplicate the error by just turning on CloudFlare’s default setup and running openssl s_client -connect example-domain-name-here.com:443 without touching WPSC or Jetpack, etc.

The browsers were having trouble too accessing my test site. So far, it seems like it may be a flaw with CloudFlare.
