After installing WPtouch 3.8, I’m unable to make it compatible with WP Super Cache, despite following the instructions in a couple of WPtouch messages that appear. Is WPtouch-free compatible with WP Super Cache or not? If ‘yes,’ can you explain please the process for getting WPtouch 3.8 working with WP Super Cache? The instructions in the post-WPTouch update messages do not work for me.

  • This version is not that nice. Their settings are not necessarily the most optimal ones for speed and yet we need to follow them.

I will just downgrade until the annoying message/deactivation goes away. Its fine to be there but allow us to override it.

I have the same problem on https://www.androidkosmos.de with the free version. Is it possible to get the previous version?

I’m having the same issue, everything was fine until today when i updated the WPTouch Mobile Plugin, now I’m getting a message that there’s an issue with WP Super Cache https://awesomescreenshot.com/02350g3293. Please advise how to fix this issue. I’ve tried the obvious solutions: deactivating/reactivating plugin, deleting/reinstalling plugin, restoring to default configuration/configuring the plugin but have not had any success.

Hi everyone! We’re sorry it’s not working correctly for everyone— we’re working to fix this up and solve the issues some people are facing with Super Cache. We’ll have 3.8.1 out soon.

We were trying to be helpful for users to make sure they are running WPtouch alongside caching plugins correctly. There’s lots of work under the hood to accomplish knowing when things are working correctly with other people’s plugins, so bear with us.

3.8.1 is being pushed out momentarily.

Just updated, error message is gone! Thank you

Great! So sorry folks. Glad we got it fixed for you asap.

I’ve updated to 3.8.1 and I’ve followed the directions and I’m still seeing the error message and the mobile part isn’t working.

@bravenewcode Inc. Thanks for your fast support

I’ve updated plugin to 3.8.1 but I still see this error message:
WPtouch: WP Super Cache needs to be configured to work correctly with WPtouch.

    How to fix it?

After updating to 3.8.1, I’m seeing no error message but the desktop site appears on mobile devices, not the mobile site.

    https://mymoneycounselor.com

The changeling for 3.8.1. still says “Added: Now suspend WPtouch functionality when WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache and Wordfence are detected and throw messages about fixing them”

I’m using Wordfence caching and it works fine for my site with WPtouch 3.7.9.1
So I’m going to hold off upgrading WPtouch till the changeling says they work together again.

    Hello,

    we have the same problem.

I updated wp-touch to 3.8.1. We are using the free version of wp-touch.

I configured the plugin just as described in the manual of your page. Clearing the cache, activate/deactivate the plugins but i still get the cached desktop pages on mobile phone ??

    Any ideas?

Posters: because of the lack of resolution of this important issue, I just switched to WP Mobile. Works for me! Check out the results here:
