    Hi,
While running updates for wp to 5.7 and various other plugins including WP Super Cache. No errors or issues but when I went to access WP Super Cache it disappeared… gone from my list of all plugins.

logged out, cleared local caches, logged in to admin and WP Super Cache is gone.

Tried to reinstall and I get the error:

“Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”

wp-super-cache.pot is the only file in the wp-super-cache folder under plugins (updated today)
    Config files
    advanced-cache.php
    and
    wp-cache-config.php
    both exist

Any suggestions on how to override an install?

    Thanks

  • Hi, did you find the solution?

Surprisingly, the same has happened to me, but with a different plugin (I don’t have WP Super Cache plugin installed). So I guess is something related with wordpress or another plugin that you and me have in common. I am using wordpress 5.7. This is my list of plugins:

    Complianz —– missing
    Accordion Blocks
    Autoptimize
    Duplicate Page
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Loco Translate
    NEX-Forms – Ultimate
NEX-Forms ADD ON – Conditional Content Blocks
NEX-Forms ADD ON – Digital Signatures
NEX-Forms ADD ON – Form Themes
NEX-Forms ADD ON – PDF Creator
NEX-Forms ADD ON – Shorcode Processor
NEX-Forms ADD ON – Super Select
    Remove Dashboard Access
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    Wordfence Security
    WP Media folder
WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache —deactivated
    WPS Hide Login

I have got other websites with WordPress 5.7 and no problem…

    Hi,
I have yet to find a solution and still waiting to hear from the developer. WP Super Cache was the only plugin that “disappeared” post the upgrade.

    Hi,
I got an answer from Complianz plugin developers and has worked for me. Hope it works the same with your plugin:

Deleting the current Complianz plugin folder via FTP and then re-uploading & installing the new version should solve this.

Your current settings should remain unless you have enabled “Clear all data from Complianz on uninstall”.

    @javierr

Thanks for the posting. I tried the procedure and it worked.
    1) Deleted the /plugins/wp-super-cache folder ( and contents )
    2) Reinstalled wp-super-cache
    3) From within the plugin settings purged/deleted the cache and disabled caching
    4) Deactivated the wp-super-cache plugin
    5) deleted wp-super-cache plugin

wp-super-cache is now completely removed and my site is running a lot faster!. I’ll wait a version or two to try wp-super-cache again.

    Resolved.

    Happy to hear that!

I can’t imagine how that happened. If you need to, install the plugin again, but if your site is running fine without it then definitely leave it off. No need to make your site more complex when it’s not needed.
