• Hi. I’m using the Twenty Ten theme and have been having trouble formatting tables so am trying your plug-in which is pretty nifty. However, I’m still getting the same issue.

See this test page (use Internet Explorer 9):

    https://www.leapgamers.com/leapsite/?page_id=189

I’m getting it to view correctly in Google CHROME but Internet Explorer 9 still will not accomplish the rowspan properly. As you can see, it keeps the graphic in the top row instead of merging the cells below it.

See this page for what I would like the tables to look like:

I do have a CHILD theme but I suspect something in the parent Twenty Ten theme is prohibiting tables from displaying as they should in IE9.

Any help appreciated. I’ve been working on this for a couple of days now with no success. Thanks

Is anyone out there a table master? Suggestions?

Tagging your topic with the plugin’s name would help (now done). The support for this plugin is normally very good but it helps if the plugin’s developer can actually find your posts.

Ah, you’re right. Not having much experience here I assumed “…open a new topic there (with the tag ‘wp-table-reloaded’) just meant to type “wp-table-reloaded” in the subject field. I didn’t realize there was a separate “tag” option. Thanks for the reply which caused me to take a closer look.

It’s too hard to search by subject when you are trying to support a specific plugin. Tags really help in this regard. With luck, the plugin’s developer should be along shortly. He’s here pretty much every day.

    Hi,

the problem here is the usage of both the “Table Head” setting and of rowspan at the same time. Unfortunately, HTML table can’t handle both at the same time. Well, actually, it is more that you want to use the rowspan to combine header and body cells, which is not possible.
So, if you uncheck the “Table Head” checkbox, the rowspan should work.
You will then need to add a background color to the first row manually, through a little bit of CSS code.

    Regards,
    Tobias
