• I am working on a website and have been using the WP-table-reloaded plugin for a while now. I absolutely love it because it made a lot of things a lot easier for me.

I am using WP 3.1 and the latest version of WP-Table-reloaded, the website link is https://shirt-stunter.nl. But since the last update I have noticed an issue which I can’t figure out. The pages I am talking about have been static for a while nothing changed so you would think that the code still works.

For instance [table id=2 /] now gives [table “0” not found /], it always give “0” no matter what the number of the table is, which I find odd.

I have checked the tables, they seem fine and I have added a new table and added it to a post (manually and through the button above the post area) but even that doesn’t help. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be or how to solve it.

  • Hi,

thanks a lot for your post.

This issue seems to be a server problem.

It has been reported in the past
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-table-0-not-found-being-displayed-instead-of-tables
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-not-working-with-wp-31-19
and there, the reason for the problem was some wrong version of PCRE, a library needed by PHP.

I suggest to contact your webhost with this information, and have them fix it. This likely has been happening since they changed/updated something on the server.

Thank you for your amazingly quick reply.

I have contacted the webhost and they will check it out for me and report back. I’ll let you know if it’s fixed or not.

    Thanks again! ??

Over the last couple of days, the person who set up the server has been searching for a solution but so far they haven’t been able to find anything. They say that something between the plugin and WP isn’t connecting.

To me that sounds a little bit strange because everything is up to date, the wordpress install and the plugin and I have a different website on a different server which works perfectly.

So if anyone has any ideas let me know!

    Hi,

thanks for checking back with your server manager.

I really believe though, that this is coming from the problem described in those links I posted, namely with the “PCRE” library.
Maybe they can install a different PHP version on the server?

Other than that, I really don’t have an explanation to this. Also, it should be affecting a lot more people, if it were a problem with the plugin or with WordPress.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same thing. That more people should be affected by this problem if it was either the WP or plugin.

The PHP version on the server is 5.2.17, I have no idea if that is up to date. I honestly know nothing about servers. I have provided those links to the server manager.

Anyway thank you for your help.

    Hi Angelique,

yes, forwarding the links is a good idea.
I also don’t understand too much of this, but as far as I do, the PCRE thing is component of PHP.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
