    Why when I clone a post, even after doing some changes to contents, the new post still returns the old post’s shortlink?

    I would recommend to enable a delay of 1 minute or so. The reason for this issue is that the closed post meta is not updated by the shortlink plugin. May be it needs some extra effort.

    The plugin send the post featured image to Telegram. All you need to do is to fix your featured images.
