WP theme 2022 and plugin Gutenberg

  • Is it still useful to activate the Gutenberg plugin in addition to the standard WP theme 2022 (I use this theme to build my site). And is Gutenberg perhaps already incorporated into it?

    Who can explain this to me (us).

  • Excellent question @loek11.

    The Gutenberg plugin will give you the very latest version of the block editor. This will be more modern that the version that is bundled with WordPress core but it can also be less stable.

    So, to answer your question, you can benefit from some of the more advanced features in the block editor by having the plugin active but you do not need to.

    Would this make sense?
