I used WP Touch for the first time but I removed it very quickly because I can’t customize the layout as much as I would like. So I disabled the plugin and deleted it from WordPress.

After that the mobile version shows up when I opened the website on my desktop. So I have been searching for a solution and came up with this sort of things.

    – You may instruct WP Super Cache to reject mobile user agents in its “Advanced” tab by adding the following list of user agents:

    iphone
    ipod
    ipad
    pre
    pixi
    iemobile
    aspen
    incognito
    webmate
    android
    dream
    cupcake
    froyo
    blackberry9500
    blackberry9520
    blackberry9530
    blackberry9550
    blackberry 9800
    blackberry 9780
    blackberry 9850
    blackberry 9860
    webos
    s8000
    bada

    – disable compatibility mode in IE by adding this meta tag to the <head> of your page (in header.php): <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=edge” />

    – I also went to Super cache settings –> contents and then removed the cache and the expired cache.

Well after this it all works fine accept for Internet Explorer. My website shows up perfectly on Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox but not on Internet Explorer anymore. Its like a mix of a mobile version of the
website but not with the same colours. The background is white and my sidebar gets placed at the bottom of the page.

Does anybody know what I can do about this problem because 25% of the visitors are still working with Internet Explorer?

I just discoverd that my website works fine on internet explorer with a normal desktop PC… Only on a laptop its still a problem

Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to the twentythirteen theme to start identifying the problem?

Also, please do not bump here (it’s against the forum rules) – these are volunteer forums so help is not always as fast as you may need.
