    Hi.
My clients site (whilst still up) is coming up with a critical error when I try and access WP-admin. I can see WP updated at 4am this morning, so assume it could be a conflict with a plugin, however I’ve tried renaming the plugins folder and still could not get into wp-admin. (I’ve since renamed it back as it ruins the website frontend and didn’t appear to be the issue).

Are there any known issues with the Avada Theme that could be causing this?

Other than that – is there a way to roll this back? Bearing in mind I cannot access wp-admin, I have no idea how to do this / short of copying over the WP files from the 5.6.2 version, but I’m worried about breaking it further.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
    Thanks!
    Tracy

We dont know any reported at this moment.
You can ask Avada theme support.

If you have PHP error logs, please look near the end of the file for any Fatal errors, this will explain what exactly happened with your WP install.

Restoring backup would be safest way.

Your site will break if you mix different WordPress versions.
But you can take any release archive from download page,
    https://www.ads-software.com/download/releases/
5.7 or 5.6.2 if you want to.
You will need to remove and replace from archive, everything
    /wp-admin/
    /wp-includes/
and .php files for the site root.

You can leave intact /wp-content/ and files which are not present in distribution archive, like wp-config.php and others you may have created.

Thanks so much for your advice. Managed to work out there were a couple of files that had gotten a bit corrupt during the update – rem’d those out and I was able to get back in. Have now successfully done the upgrade to the latest version.

Thanks again! You pointed me in the direction of where I needed to look.
