WP Update Kills my Site and Loops
-
Hi,
I have two established blogs that were set for autoupdate. When I access either of them I get the WP Install screen asking me to pick a language. The URL, not including my actual site is: /wp-admin/install.php.
The following happens on two different WP sites.
I select English and I get the “Information Needed” screen where I input the site name a email address. After entering those I get a LONG list of errors, eg,
“WordPress database error: [Unknown storage engine ‘InnoDB’]
CREATE TABLE wp_users ( ID bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, user_login varchar(60) NOT NULL default ”, user_pass varchar(64) NOT NULL default ”, user_nicename varchar(50) NOT NULL default ”, user_email varchar(100) NOT NULL default ”, user_url varchar(100) NOT NULL default ”, user_registered datetime NOT NULL default ‘0000-00-00 00:00:00’, user_activation_key varchar(60) NOT N”At the bottom of that screen it says, “Success!
WordPress has been installed. Were you expecting more steps? Sorry to disappoint.”I’m provided with a new PW for the admin account. (And so would be ANYONE who happens onto my site.)
I click “Login” and I loop back to the WP Install pick a language screen and it just keeps looping.
What is going on? Was I hacked? Is this a screwup of the new WP version?
How do I fix this?
