wp upgrade to 2.6.3 not working

  • Hi,

    recently tried to do a fantastico upgrade on my site to newest version my hosting company had available.

    site is https://www.complementsforhealth.com

    I’ve never had this happen to me before. Fantastico has always worked for me.

    #1 Question I have is how do I best fix my site installation.

    However I would also like to know; Where can I get more information to learn about the installation process?
    Would I be better off with the newest version 2.7? Where would be the best place to go to learn to do the install myself and not use fantastico?

  • This isn’t necessairly the best, but I’ve created a video that shows step-by-step how to install using Cpanel. You can find it here.

    I’ve just created a couple of other videos that demonstrates how to upgrade an existing install and will be posting them later today.

    You should get the newest version. It’s actually very easy to install. Once you install it, there will be automatic upgrade so you won’t have to worry again.

    It’s not hard to install – I do it manually and never use cPanel. If you know how to FTP you are set. If not, and don’t want to learn, here’s a video I found on YouTube that explains how to install 2.7 using cPanel.

    I can do an install for you. Just contact me through my website on this forum,. I used to ale=ways find it difficult to follow installation instructions. NOw it’s second nature but I remember when it was difficult for me.

    JDK, when you do the install, why don’t you take the extra step of changing the default login, admin, to something else via PHPMyAdmin? I’ve done this on all my installs – just one more little thing you can do to fight the bad people! ??
