• I have used plugin WP-Wrapper in several sites for several years. (Great plug in!)
It recently stopped working in all of my sites, essentially crashing the sites. The following error is generated when navigating to the sites:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home4/gkscott/public_html/ngafmmf2/wp-content/plugins/wp-wrapper/wp-wrapper.php on line 87

I can get the sites running again by deleting the plug in (WP Wrapper) via FTP, but when I try to reinstall WP Wrapper, I get the same error in the Admin panel when I try to activate WP Wrapper again?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  • Can you please answer:

    1. your wordpress version
    2. version of wp-wrapper you’re using
    3. what change you made which lead to this error?

I have replied to your comment on the website too: https://nabtron.com/wp-wrapper/

    I’m using WP version 4.5
    Plugin is version 1.1.6
    The site is ngafmmf.info
I made no change was made to the site: the crash seemed to coincide with that latest update of the plugin? After I deleted the plugin (via FTP), I downloaded the latest version of WP Wrapper and tried to install it. The plugin will not even activate. WP returns the following message:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home4/gkscott/public_html/ngafmmf2/wp-content/plugins/wp-wrapper/wp-wrapper.php on line 87

    Thanks for your help.

It was due to old version of php running on your server.

I’ve altered the code to be compatible with your version of PHP in 1.1.7 update
