WP YouTube Lyte does not work with the newest Elementor 3.1.1

Yes, this is correct. Now the plugin LYTE is working as I downgraded Elementor back to 2.9 version! As I need this functionality to mask videos very much. Otherwise the YouTube videos load for very long time! Why doesn’t LYTE work with Elelementor 3.1.1??? Are you going to fix this issue?

If things broke when updating Elementor, I would assume it’s Elementor’s job to fix no? ??

But:
* how does it break exactly?
* how did you add the video’s?

Let’s continue here dakini2 ; can you reply to those 2 questions + do you have a site where you could leave things broken so I could have a look?

Nothing broke. Simply videos stopped being displayed with the LYTE mask and loding for very long time. I have another website built with Elementor and LYTE and also LYTE plugin stopped wporking after updating Elementor to 3.1.1. In this case I did not downgrade Elementor as there only a few YouTube videos on thei website the issue does not influence so badly the speed and performance as on the previous website (www.bardowiepolscy.pl).

I added the videos using Elementor (and accordingly – WP Bakery) video widget.

OK, can you try a text widget and just popping the YouTube URL in there?
