I’m trying to install the WP101 plugin. When I search for it in WordPress, I get the following description of the plugin:

    ——————————
    WP101

    Last Updated: 46 years ago?

Then, when I try to install it, it gives me:

    ——————————
    Downloading install package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wp101.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

    Plugin install failed.

Either I’m doing something wrong, or the ZIP file would seem to be corrupt.

How can I install the plugin? Any assistance would be gratefully received.

    Thanks

Note that this is when I try to install the plugin using the standard WordPress plugin installation procedure. That is, not by explicitly uploading a ZIP file.

    Hi Bryan,

No idea why the install would have gotten corrupted. It’s been working just fine until today.

I just re-committed and it appears to be working again.

I’ve installed it on three different test sites using the default install process from the WP Plugin Repo, across three different hosting companies, and tested in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Then I repeated the test using a downloaded archive, and it’s working as well.

I’m marking this as resolved, but let me know if you continue to have issues.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, Shawn!

Now, when I go to Add Plugin, it tells me that it was updated 3 days ago (as opposed to 46 years ago 8^) ), so it looks better.

Since I already have it installed and don’t want to disturb that installation, I’ll just assume that it works.
